The global average temperature for the first 10 months of 2018 was 0.98C above the levels between 1850-1900 according to five independently maintained global data sets.

The Organizing Committee of the ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ 5th International Arctic Forum decided to relocate the Forum, which is to be held on 9–10 April 2019, from Arkhangelsk to the ExpoForum Exhibition and Convention Centre in St. Petersburg.

Permafrost is warming at a global scale, article figures

Today an article on permafrost was published in the Nature Magazine. The article is on permafrost warming and describes the use of the Global Terrestrial Network for Permafrost (GTNP) for which the staff of the Arctic Portal was technically responsible for creating and hosts.
