Arctic Circle

The registration has opened for 2nd Arctic Circle General Assembly that will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland 31st – 2nd of November 2014.

Since September 2013, when the conference took place last, the interest in the Arctic Circle has been growing.

A number of governments, corporations, universities, organizations, associations, think tanks and others are already preparing their partici¬pation for the second Assembly.

Sessions will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders from around the world, and participants are invited to interact at roundtables, receptions and special events in the world's northernmost capital city.

This year's plenary sessions include topics such as:

  • The Arctic in 2035
  • Arctic Security
  • Business Across the Arctic
  • Arctic Ice
  • Global Climate
  • Indigenous voices from the Arctic
  • Arctic Energy

Program News is already appearing on the website and more will be added in the coming weeks.

The 2013 Arctic Circle Assembly was attended by 1200 participants from over 40 nations, and this year the event will reconvene October 31 to November 2, 2014, at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in Reykjavík, and in 2015 the event will be held in Anchorage, Alaska, USA.
