The Bellona Environmental Transparency Center recently released a special Arctic-themed issue for the month of September 2023 as part of their publication, Environment and Rights magazine.
The Environment and Rights magazine was founded in 2022 in Russia and quickly became a unique voice for those who protect the environment and environmental rights. The magazine was particularly important because of the harsh political environment for civil society there. Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Bellona stopped all its activities inside Russia and closed its offices. However, their work has not stopped, and they continue to publish their magazine from Lithuania. Each issue is dedicated to a specific topic, and contains several analytical articles prepared by journalists and experts.
