16 December 2020, TRONDHEIM, NORWAY – Meet and discuss with fellow experts and innovators at the special all-digital 2021 edition of the EERA DeepWind conference, January 13th to 15th. The event has moved global and online because of the current pandemic, and discussions promise to reach new heights with over 90 submissions received.
"The fact that the conference is 100% digital means we expect even more international participants than usual," says John Olav Tande, Chief Scientist at SINTEF Energy Research.
Participants will get a unique chance to discuss and hear both high-level presentations by prominent speakers such as Tina Bru, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Nils Røkke, Chair of the European Energy Research Alliance, Geir Olav Berg, CTO, Aker Offshore Wind, Dr. Carlos Eduardo Lima Da Cunha, Policy Officer, EC, and Hanne Wigum, Equinor. There will also be targeted specialist presentations by leading scientists such as Katherine Dykes, DTU, Michael Durstewitz, Fraunhofer, Anne Lene Hopstad, DNV GL, Maxime Thys, SINTEF, Karl Merz, SINTEF, Jon Are Suul, SINTEF, and Tor Anders Nygård, IFE.

It has provided a forum for connection between researchers, experts and industry leaders in wind power and offshore wind. The conference is a joint project of NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), SINTEF and the European Energy Research Alliance.
This year the event will be held online through the OnAIR platform, which will allow participants to ask questions to speakers and discuss with fellow experts.
